Cruise Ship Interiors Expo Miami - Launch
Cruise Ship Interiors Expo (CSIE) has launched its first event and in no better place than the “cruise ship capital of the world,” Miami, Florida. The Miami Beach Convention Center hosted the expo that ran from June 19 - 20. This show is “the world’s first tailored event dedicated exclusively to the interior design, architecture, and outfitting for the cruise industry”, according to CSIE. I think we can all agree that this was long overdue and the cruise ship industry deserved a show like this. After all, the global cruise industry is booming, generating an estimated revenue of $39.6 billion US dollars in 2015, and is expected to reach almost $31.5 billion by 2020, according to Statista.
The show was well put together with the exhibitor and designer in mind. It welcomed 2,800 interior designers, architects, and outfitters, along with over 250 suppliers. Exhibitors ranged from textiles to premiere art services, smart technology, hard furnishings, tiles, bathroom solutions, and much more. Click here for the full list of exhibitors. Visitors were also invited to attend expert-led conference sessions featuring speakers from the world’s biggest cruise lines to discuss topics like, sustainability in design, color trends, design trends for 2022, and leader’s debates, among many others.
CSIE is the perfect place to learn about your favorite products, build relationships, and learn from the experts first hand. I would also note that while the event is geared towards the marine industry, architects and designers from other industries might find the expo well-worth a visit, especially those who design restaurants and resorts by the water.
